The benefits of updating and fully utilising your ERP system inspires confidence within the business with the capability of integration with other systems such as Warehouse Management Platforms, Customer Relationship Management Tool (CRM) and ecommerce systems ensuring your business is running cost effectively and efficiently.
The first step is to ensure your ERP platform is current, with data integrity practices ensuring your business has confidence that it is a great source of truth. As ERP Specialists, Digital Convergence have been engaged by many businesses to assist with ERP Projects, from analysis of current practices, system upgrade activities, 3rd Party Vendor Requirement Documentation design, integration projects through to managing the entire implementation project and ongoing management and maintenance.
Most recently, a retail business reached out for our SME’s to assist with engaging an ERP Vendor, for a firm price on the platform and installation. The business had been working with multiple platforms and had decided that 2020 was the year they would invest in one ERP system and better inhouse process management practices. They evaluated several systems and had decided on a suitable ERP system that would suit their business’s needs but wanted to engage ERP specialists that were experts on the platform that could determine an accurate requirements document after thoroughly analysing their current platforms, business practices with the understanding of their new business objectives.
Digital Convergence’s approach was to undertake the following activities:
Review of current business model by interviewing at Executive Level through to SME’s/end users within the business.
- Reviewing the multiple platforms currently in use, including best practice for consolidating into the one system.
- Analysis of data and current business processes, and how improvements could be made (including Finance, Distribution, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Retail Management (POS), and Payroll)
- Review the functionality of the preferred ERP System, and any further out of the box functionality/customisations that may be needed to meet the business needs.
- Best practice for processes and system implementation
The business was then provided with a requirements document including findings and solutions for feedback, signoff ready for submission to Pronto for an accurate costing for the platform.
